2014 Jack McGinley Syrah

2014 Jack McGinley Syrah

Tasting Notes

A co-fermentation of Syrah, Grenache and Viognier, this Syrah has been a standout since the beginning.  The nose is dark and voluptuous with aromas of berry compote and cigar.  The pallet is provocative with endless layers of fruit, earth and spice: Smoked blackberries, morel mushrooms, and black pepper.  The layers continue to evolve through the finish and into the next sip.  I love this wine on a cool night while grilling some elk and watching the game.  Drink now or age up to 10-12 years.
