2013 Gypsy

2013 Gypsy

Tasting Notes

The 2013 Gypsy is a  medium ruby color with dark notes of cocoa, fig and forest floor after a late fall rain.  Surprisingly full bodied on the palate with chalky tannins, roasted game, charred tomatoes, and raspberry compote.  The Gypsy will age gracefully for the next 5-10 years and will taste best over a family style dinner with friends, family and laughter.

Winemakers Notes

The 2013 Gypsy is composed of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre. Each lot was fermented and aged separately, and blended together before bottling. Fermented in 1.5 ton lots with twice daily punchdowns and daily pumpovers.
